Saving Cain

A great script brought to life by incredibly talented performers digging into difficult and painfully honest moments. Leah Heitz is fantastic as always, Jim Martyka delivers as a lovable and sympathetic man trying to naviagte a tricky situation, and and Lenny Hernandez navigates an incredibly difficult range with skill and sensitivity.... full review

Tattered Capes

This show was a blast, with a ton of energy from start to finish and some of the most impressive and difficult fight choreography that I've ever seen in a Fringe show. Travis Dixson delivers as he always does with unrelenting energy, charisma and talent, while Joanna Mercedes manages an amazing balance of deeply felt emotional moments with super heroic bravado that manages to be both appropriately melodramatic and entirely real in the feelings evoked. This isn't a hard show to recommend. Exactly ... full review

Quantum Entanglement

The universe spins around us, and we stay fixed. This is hard for most people to get their brains around, even the most scientifically minded. It makes perfect sense, intellectually, that the universe is moving without us, that we only nudge, at the very very very best, the turning of the cosmos, all around us. We still reach, though. We strive to move the world to conform to our will because, in a way that's never been the case in any way previous in history, we believe that we as individuals ... full review

A Whole NEWD World-Cherry Tales at The Knock Shop

An absolute blast, worth every cent paid to see it. A terrific company full of enthusiasm and an obvious love of performance that rivaled, and likely beat anything else I've seen at the Fringe this year. Incredibly sexy, tremendously fun, all in a setting that's exactly right for this sort of up-close, in-your-face performance. Cannot recommend it enough.... full review

How to Be A Virgin (in 12 morally ambiguous steps)

A great show that deserves to be seen by as many as possible during it's run, which it's sold-out status through the rest of its run indicates uite clearly.... full review

My Big Fat Blonde Musical

This is a great show at the perfect time for a place like Los Angeles. With calls for inclusivity finally being listened to (if not always heard), it's great to see a talented performer like Theresa sharing the trouble she's had being seen by the overly exclusive, narrow ideals of Hollywood, and showing exactly why they're missing out by doing so. Go see it, have a great time, and add this incredibly talented young woman to your roster of people to keep an eye on.... full review

House of Rabbits - Charivari in Voyeurville

eric cire · June 26, 2015 certified reviewer
Art is beautiful, and frequently, good art is exhausting. After I left Charivari in Voyeurville, I was certainly exhausted, but in the exhilerated and tremendously satisfied way that only art and a few other worthwhile activites can promise. The premise of the show by itself is a little dizzying: I've described it as what would happen if The Decemberists had really, really rough sex with System of a Down and the child produced from this union studied under Cirque Du Soliel, which I think gets ac... full review

Inside The Mind Of Me

This is a really bold and ambitious piece, maybe moreso than any other show I've seen at the Fringe this year. It's bouyed by some incredible and incredibly comitted performances by some really remarkable actors. This play goes for it, and doesn't pull back from it's vision for even a second, which is exactly what every show at the fringe should strive for.... full review

The Best of Albuquerque Fringe 2025

eric cire · June 13, 2015 certified reviewer
Some really great performing and writing in this piece, perfectly placed in the middle of the Hollywood Fringe. The people involved are unbelievably charming and funny, and the sharp and creative bits are all performed with obvious love, joy, and a hugely fun sense of playfulness and humor.... full review

King of Kong: A Musical Parody

This show is just bloody, glorious, rediculous fun. It's the show you wish you had made and were in but watching it you can't imagine you ever could be because the two people doing it do such an incredible job being amazing at every single part and song. Silly, perfect, simple, great.... full review
