Phenomenal, moving, thought provoking, frightening. Sooo good and it really hit me in an unexpected way. Grateful for work such as this that draws not just thoughtful attention to the topic of sex trafficking but a personal and emotional attention to it too. It forced me to really think about how my ignorance and complacency plays a part in allowing the slave trade to continue. I wanted to give Christina a standing ovation, but at the end of her performance, I was too affected to move. What she does is truly amazing. She takes us from a bright shiny, optimistic toy to an abused, broken, nearly dead human in under 20 minutes. It's horrifying (in a digestible way) and drives home the necessity of fighting sex trafficking. I am so completely in awe of Christina's work as an artist and as an activist.
