Really fun show with lots of humor and twists, but also real moments of pathos. Everybody can relate to at least some of the events from their own history of relationships.... full review

I really enjoyed Sleeping Around -- from the writing to the acting. And I even enjoyed watching the set changes. There are some lines that I keep thinking about days later. It was very thought provoking, sometimes funny, sometimes sad and sometimes heart wrenching. Even my 88 year old mother found it "entertaining" although, in her words, what she saw on stage was not like when she grew up when relationships were just easier! ... full review

A good show, go see it! You'll probably recognize yourself or someone with whom you've been involved in more than one of the short, intimate scenes that make up this "La Ronde"-inspired piece. Equal parts funny and painful, full of complications and confusion, just like life. Some stand-out performances from a strong ensemble cast and clever writing make this an enjoyable hour in the theatre. But dress cool - no AC, a ceiling full of stage lights and people emotionally worked up on stage make this a HOT show, literally.... full review

A wonderful series of well-written, beautifully performed interwoven vignettes -- both funny and touching. The pace clipped along, leaving you looking forward to the next couple to take the stage. Really well done!!... full review

Disaster meets comedy at every corner - so it's just like real-life relationships! These actors were so comfortable and well-fit in their roles, that after the show I had to ask if it was written for them/with them! (It wasn't.) All the love affairs are intertwined (as I'm sure you've gathered from their sexy promotional photos and material), but the writing is so great, that each scene honestly stands on it's own with a strong beginning, middle, and end. These characters are deeply layered and surprising. Social graces are at times cast-aside, principles of youth are tested, women get to make strong bold choices in the face of... well, that'd be a spoiler. There are no small roles here, so thankfully TU is filled with talent to captivate yo... full review

An incredibly fun and very well written show. The highs were hilarious and the lows were absolutely heartbreaking; "Sleeping Around" has everything you could ever want. I was moved by the acting and engaged with the story. This is a must see at Fringe!... full review

An alternately funny and sympathetic look at relationships (or lack thereof) via a train of two-person vignettes, each of which inherits one character from the prior one. An interesting side effect is that a character who seems to be an interloper or heartless antagonist in one scene can show an inner depth in the next. The dialogue is sharp, the humor funny, and thank god you don't actually see anyone's schlong. With each vignette is about ten minutes and an hour running time overall, this show is well worth the modest commitment of attention span. Kudos to Theater Unleashed on a strong delivery. ... full review

TTHEATRE REVIEW #287 - Sleeping Around “”TU Has Passionate Comedy 'Gold'– All Strung Together With Heart In “Sleeping Around” Written By Lorenzo Marchessi Another amazing experience at the Hollywood Fringe festival and Theatre Unleashed has a very fun and engaging play called “Sleeping Around” Perfectly titled, it strings together several stories and the eventual loops itself back to the beginning. No spoilers here, but when you see it – along with some amazing performances, very clever writing and some extremely diligent staging, “Sleeping Around” is something you will very much enjoy. Very smartly written by Cesar Abella and quite nicely staged and coordinated by director Wendy Gough Soroka, this play takes a slice into the lives ... full review
