I went in expecting light and fluffy. I came out wishing I had tissues. It was insanely funny in parts and completely tear-invoking in others. This is a must-see show! It draws you in with characters and situations that are relatable. It shows the reality of sleeping around rather than just the sexy times. It delves into the nuances of different types of relationships, which creates some truly heartwarming/heartbreaking moments. So...where to begin. A series of almost magically interconnected vignettes that are as funny as you'd expect from the title and promo materials, but perhaps more soulful, rich and deep than you will be prepared for. The structural style of two characters on stage at a time, yet never the same two characters, creates currents and eddies that shift marvelously from scene to scene. You may think you have a character figured out, and you might be right, but I suspect you will be surprised by each and every one. The performances are wonderful and nuanced (and where nuance is lacking the bombast and energy that fill the void shake things up perfectly and at just the right moment). "Sleeping Around" is by far one of the best produced shows by the powerhouse team that is Theatre Unleashed. Focusing on real relationships in unsuspecting environments, Theatre Unleashed does a fantastic job at keeping these potentially disastrous moments light with outstanding comedy and an astounding cast. Everything from the top of the show introduction to the final black out keeps you immersed in the show without ever pulling you out for a fourth wall break. I saw the first preview of this production and I would definitely recommend it. The blazing pace and excellent comedic chops of the cast don't overshadow the deeper, truthful heart of this emotionally engaging puzzle. We are introduced to only 2 characters at a time, learning about their particular relationship as each scene unfolds. You are given just enough to make you think you understand who they are, but when they appear in other scenes with different partners, new discoveries are made each time. It can turn from highly comedic, laugh out loud comedy in one instant and the next you are reaching for your hankie. The themes and situations are both universal and yet unique, and the witty dialogue is consistently delivered with honesty ... full review

I had such a great time seeing Sleeping Around on Saturday night. The cast was fantastic and the connecting stories flowed in and out of each other with ease. I enjoyed seeing and guessing where each vignette would lead and had a really lovely time. It was more poignant than I expected and also sadder than I expected. These actors lucked out. The script is very good and gives each of them some fun moments! It flowed well. The director made some great choices and elevated a good script to a fantastic show. And it's stocked with some of Fringe's favorite actors. Courtney Sara Bell should be looked at closely and considered for the "Best of Fringe Actress" category. Nailed it. I really, really liked it! A great dialogue about a great topic with great actors. Didn't recognize half the cast when I ran into them the next day - a testament to the characters they created. A wonderful balance of comedy and drama.... full review

Relationship plays almost always have something interesting to offer and Sleeping Around is no exception. I truly enjoyed the ways the stories were connected which gave the piece more of a fullness and made me want to invest in the characters much more. The cast is definitely having a blast doing what they love which is a treat for the audience. Some great one-liners from out of nowhere knocked me off balance...in a good way and the running time was perfect for the material. A fun, funny and interesting play that offers many perspectives on how we relate to one another...even beyond sleeping around!... full review
