A very ambitious production that fully realizes it's dream. Matt Ritchey has written and directed a wonderfully inventive, engaging, and entertaining piece that EVERYONE who has ever had even the slightest exposure to Shakespeare will fully enjoy. There is a lot going on here, story and character-wise, and the pace never lets up. And kudos to the large cast, everyone was funny and spot-on in their work. HIGHLY recommended!... full review

I'll admit, I was nervous about seeing the show because my Shakespeare is rusty and I thought I'd be one of those twits that just laughs along with everyone else but has no clue why they're laughing. Not the case at all! It was so silly and fun! I knew enough Shakespeare plays to laugh and get the references! But even if I hadn't remembered, the premise of the play was unique and the production was full of fun, silly contemporary references and performances! All the actors seemed so perfectly cast in their roles! I especially enjoyed performances by Macbeth, Lady M, Hamlet, and Tybalt and Mercutio. Well done!... full review

With the jokes and quips flying fast and furious from the word "go," Richey -- and his versatile, spirited cast -- doesn't miss a trick in the book. Inventive, sharp, and laugh-out-loud funny, it's a crowd pleaser... even for those who got by in High Shcool reading the Cliff Notes. (Hey, don't look at ME...) A show that will hopefully have the life beyond Fringe it so richly deserves.... full review

A tight show with a huge cast and a thousand laughs! It's everything you love and hate about musical comedy and the work of Willie the Shake combined! Matt Richey has created a Fringe CLASSIC and had me in stitches!!! Shout out to the actress that played LADY M... screeched through the whole thing and never a moment of vocal strain and never a lapse in character... I look for that and love when someone can maintain physically and craft wise from beginning to end! BRAVO! (This show deserves an extension!!!)... full review

While not as famous as his brother Lionel, nor his niece Nicole, or even his director cousin Guy, Matt Ritchey is still a force to be reckoned with. R+J in Hell is a hilarious story replete with characters that no one remembers from Brit Lit. Who's Shakespeare? Is that the guy that wrote 50 shades? ... full review

Great show! Smart, well written, and acted. Very literate. If you follow theatre and Shakespeare, you'll get a kick out of the cleverness. If you don't, there's still plenty to enjoy. ... full review
