This is easily the funniest hour I've enjoyed in recent memory. Whether someone is a great fan of Sacred Fools, a regular victim of terrible writing, or simply looking to take in a delightfully executed and hilarious piece of theater, Magnum Opus is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening at the Fringe. It's a great showcase for come brilliant comedic actors, and a wonderful show to see with a group of friends.... full review

If you have ever written a screenplay (or at least know the rules), then this show is for you. They say it upfront - word for word, they didn't change a thing. Bad stage directions, misspelled words, stilted dialogue - this show is a delight. I brought my girlfriend and my daughter and we all laughed the whole way through. Brilliant!... full review

I have to apologize to the cast in this show. I hope I wasn't keeping them from their post performance plans due to all the laughing I was doing. I feel bad, if say, they all had sickly aunts to visit and I wouldn't let them get on with their lines due to the riotous laughter I was exuding. It's fun. And funny. There's something so uniquely, hilariously creative within the hellscape of shitty writing that Magnum Opus lampoons. There are certain places most experienced writers don't go because they know... well... that it's a terrible idea. Not so with Magnum Opus, and every terrible choice leads to new levels of madness beautifully bottled into humor by the decidedly un-shitty actors, who commit to the nonsense as if it were Shakespeare. Expect to lurch forward with plenty of those extra-obnoxious "HA" laughs many, many times and get that knee ready for some slapping. God, I'm glad it's back.... full review

This shit is funny! The deep commitment to the physical language they create to highlight the terrible terrible writing elevates all to a wonderfully funny place. Kudos to the cast for never letting up. The simplest gesture pays off tenfold. It was not as the writer pictured it being played and THANK GOD! Go check it out!!!... full review
