I had such a great time attending the church of Elvis. The Rev is a high energy laugh til you cry experience. His jokes are so clever and his interaction with the audience really adds to the experience. I can't wait to attend another service in the very near future.... full review

I loved the REV! Markhum's character work is exceptional, funny, and thoroughly entertaining. I loved how committed he was and how it truly felt like we were in a church, from the singing to the offering, to the prayers. And it brought up questions for me as to what are the things we are truly idolizing and praising? Although it was entirely a comedy, I felt those deeper questions coming up naturally. I found the Rev's sermon to be very accurate in its reflection of modern day celebrity culture. The audience was laughing the entire time, we just wanted more!! This show was so much fun!! I hadn't set foot inside a church for years until I entered the Church of E.L.V.I.S.$. last week. And boy, am I glad I finally did. Markhum is a gifted performer who sends up the religious establishment, pop culture and anything else that falls under his gaze. Why was real church never this much fun? I laughed my ass off and enjoyed every minute of this show. A blast. Like nothing else at the Fringe this year. Make sure to make a little room in your heart for "The Rev."... full review

Thoroughly enjoyed Markhum's concept and character as the Rev! We all like to trash celebs once in a while and the Rev can do it for us in church! Markhum carried the full one hour service and more. Lots of fun (and prayer)!... full review
