The show was so much fun. The music and lyrics were terrific. The story was cute and the actors did a wonderful job. It was not drawn out, and an hour was perfect to tell the story. Thank you!...

Another reviewer compared this show to a bite sized candy bar, and I am having trouble thinking of a better metaphor. In fact, I'll take the metaphor further, because a fringe festival is kind of like going Trick-or-Treating on Halloween. You go door to door, not sure what to expect, hoping for something surprising and delightful. "The Real Housekeepers of Studio City" is just that. The show is like a fun size bag of Skittles: filled with colorful morsels, each one more pleasing than the last. It's a "fun size" bag because the writing and the production is so economic and clean. The last housekeeper to parade on the stage was probably my favorite. Her quietly heartfelt number, "The Syndication of Your Mind," was like finding a golden ticket,...

THE REAL HOUSEKEEPERS OF STUDIO CITY will leave you exhausted in the best way- I'm pretty sure I laughed for the entire hour. This show is like the love child of Into the Woods and the Modern Sitcom. Engaging music, and powerhouse singers, a great mix of characters grounded in reality mixed up with fictional characters we know and love. Glad to see such a worthy show get extended- don't miss it!...

You welcomed the Bradys, the Cosbys, the Cunninghams, the Munsters, the Bunkers, the Partridges, and even the Ricardos into your living room once a week, and you loved every minute of it. You watched them live during their regularly scheduled time periods, and more than once, fantasized about being part of their families. And the reason you never missed an episode is because they could always make you laugh.
The Real Housekeepers of Studio City, a new musical at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, is banking on the fact that everything old is new again by playing to that audience; the one who views the world through a less cynical lens a...

A lady must choose domestic help from among TV Land's finest. This is slightly more compelling than it sounds. The music is strong and the cast sings well. The book doesn't quite live up. fringeblog.webs.com...
