I love how the show draws attention to the fact that women do not disappear after the age of 30. I see this show as a “coming of age” of sorts - which I hesitate to say because we associate that term with coming out of childhood and into adulthood. However, as human beings, we don’t - we shouldn’t - ever stop evolving and learning and growing. I saw the show as a woman who “comes of age” and into her own by having to face the realities of one chapter of her life and how it all fits into who she i... full review

MADE IN AMERICA

What a beautiful light and positive energy is Teruko! It's contagious. Her challenges and tragedies were heavy on the heart, and, unfortunately some experiences to which I could very much relate, but her words took me on a journey where I was rooting for her all the way. Her show is a testament to her spirit's strength, igniting the will to keep going no matter what one faces. She punctuates heavy moments with great comedic timing too. I loved this show; I can't recommend it enough.... full review

The show is engaging, educational, heartbreaking, touching, and an overall fantastic journey. Becky found an ingenious way to make a tough subject entertaining; a testament to the writing and delivery. Probably one of the most important shows in Fringe. It would be a gift to grow this show for a wider audience, perhaps even for the medical community.... full review

A serious topic told with comedic flare; I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The serious moments were well-balanced with light-hearted and funny moments. There's room for contemplation and a reminder that the immigrant situation isn't so black and white. One knows a show's succeeded when one can walk away having been both entertained and made to think.... full review

The Toughest Man In Chicago

What a rich part of American history told through the eyes of a journalist as the eyes of a city, the city of Chicago. This was such a joy to watch, and the historian in me was screaming for more! And the acting sucked me right in; fantastic story-telling.... full review

Asexuality! The Solo Musical

I may not identify as asexual or transgender, but I am here to listen and learn. Becca offers up a performance that is both touching and heartbreaking, and shares a story that must be told and explored. I encourage everyone to see this show; you won't be disappointed. Plus, the songs are fantastic!... full review
