FIVE YEARS IN AMSTERDAM

In this jubilant celebration of self, Brendan Hunt's "Five Years in Amsterdam" captures a crucial 5 year raucous journey of self-discovery. The prologue perfectly sets the audience on a rollercoaster ride of unexpected adventures ranging from sleeping in a barren studio apartment in Chicago, to a party in a Dutch Mansion that puts Stanley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut" to shame. Who knew "Boom Chicago" founder Andrew Moskos's way of saying "Boom Chicago!" is a character unto itself? If you have the c... full review

It is easily one of the best solo shows I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot of them. Chris Farah is a bright shining star. She should have this special on Netflix, HBO, Amazon, wherever the mos... full review

The Movement You Need (a work in progress)

Brendan Hunt is a master of the solo show. Rarely does a performer connect so honestly and sincerely with an audience while simultaneously having them howl with delight AND moved to tears. It's even more remarkable when the show you attend is the preview of a show in progress. He commands the stage with a combined presence of a classic physical comedian (say Stan Laurel) and a compelling diva (say Jennifer Holliday or Sutton Foster). If I could, I would see this show over and over, but it is sold... full review
