I have never been so moved. Black has a wild story to tell, but it's the way she tells it that is so incredibly impressive -- so skillful, funny, and heart-wrenching. Her specific story has much to say about love, survival, and hope. And she's a performer you will fall head over heels in love with. I can't recommend this show enough, or anything Black ever does again for that matter. I keep trying to explain to people in how unbelievable this show is, but you just have to see it! An amazing story that needs to be told. Verlo explores sexuality from all angles in a way that's so fascinating and nuanced to see all come together. She did an amazing job showing many of the defining moments in her life without telling you what to think. You just felt it. The show is witty, poignant, brave, and in our culture - so necessary!
