Lucas James Nelson

Ranging from Shakespeare to Shepard, Lucas James Nelson has performed and produced for fringe and collegiate playhouses from Missouri to California. Lucas is a founding member and producing artist for Roaming Theatre Collaborative, a small theatre troupe specializing in new and adapted works. Lucas received his B.A. in Theatre from Drury University, where he studied under Robert Westenberg and portrayed Bottom in their main stage production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Since then, Lucas has been seen on stage in portraying Shakespeare’s characters across southern California. He has also worked on several short films, which have been screened at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. As a musician, Lucas has played both drums and guitars in punk, folk, and rock bands. He also enjoys reading and writing poetry and short fiction when his work schedule opens up.
