JAXX'S CULTURAL ARTS ENVOY AWARD

Description
As Cultural Arts Envoys to the USA, Jaxx represents American Musical Theatre for the United States State Department and produces at universities and theatres with US Embassies around the world. This award will be given to a Hollywood Fringe production that represents and defines the idea of “culture.” This can be anything that lets us in on a specific culture – something we learn, or something we already know and love. This award will be open to all Culture-driven presentations. Jaxx is a 501©3 nonprofit organization founded in 2006.
Qualifications
Culture (noun) 1. The arts, beliefs, customs, institutions, and other products of human work and thought considered as a unit, especially with a regard to a particular time or social group. 2. The arts, beliefs and other products considered with respect to a particular subject or mode of expression. 3. The set of predominating attitudes and behavior that characterize a group or organization.
Methodology
The winners will be chosen based on who we feel most demonstrates the definitions of Culture above. We will have a committee and will also take note of the scoring of the judges in the community at large.
Reward
The winner will receive a minimum of a one night extension at one of the venues at the Jaxx Theatre & Studios.
