Poe-etic License really created a mystical experience. In just a small non-descript room, the performers managed to capture the Victorian and Gothic atmosphere of Edgar Allen Poe and his time period. Bradley Bobbs rendering of Poe poem was dynamic and artful. Paul Zollo's original song about Poe was entrancing and enchanting. ... full review

I was really surprised. I hear Poe in a new way. This show brought an appreciation to the father of the modern horror genre with an updated Poe without losing the authenticity of the original. The show was the perfect length (45 minutes) and can fit into your fringe schedule of shows nicely. ... full review

The advanced mind of Dr. Bobbs must thrive at the intersection of Science and Art. PhD physicist by day, and performer by night, Bradley Bobs has a penchant for the resurrection of important figures of yore. With Poe, Bobbs offers more than a glimpse into the beautifully tortured mind of Edgar Allen. Bobb’s’ poetic expansion takes the audience into a stream-of-consciousness through what must have been the bipolar personality of Edgar Allen Poe. ... full review

Poe-Etic License was anything but dreary. And there was no napping. In a small intimate upstairs theater space in a freeway-convenient part of Hollywood, the cast members, two dressed and made up to portray Edgar Allen Poe, take turns entertaining the audience while we were choosing our seats. A recitation of Bells, forcing echoes from my junior high school obsession with the poem, kicks off the performance. A guitar solo, and two more delicious dramatic (interwoven with comedic and surprising contemporary cultural blends) scenes made me laugh, and then cry a little. Bradley Bobbs is super reciting Poe with wit and feeling. Poe-etic License was an evocative performance - serious, funny, definitely memorable. ... full review
