I liked the mixture of rhyming sonnet format with the modern character and storyline. The poetry actually works to give the story depth it wouldn’t otherwise achieve.
What I didn't like
No obvious flaws I’d point out. The show’s goals are relatively modest and straightforward and it strongly achieves them.
My overall impression
SONNETSFROMSUBURBIA is a clever, literate and funny one-person play starring and written by Penny Peyser. It’s adventurous and a little kooky and as such is kind of the perfect Fringe show.
