I liked the mixture of rhyming sonnet format with the modern character and storyline. The poetry actually works to give the story depth it wouldn’t otherwise achieve.
No obvious flaws I’d point out. The show’s goals are relatively modest and straightforward and it strongly achieves them.
SONNETS FROM SUBURBIA is a clever, literate and funny one-person play starring and written by Penny Peyser. It’s adventurous and a little kooky and as such is kind of the perfect Fringe show.
