My overall impression
Smart, funny and heartbreaking are difficult enough to pull off in the same piece, let alone in iambic pentameter. But that’s Lady Penelope — always swinging for the fences and clearing the highest ones with grace, wit and no small amount of insight. “Sonnets From Suburbia” is as unexpected as it is unforgettable, meaning seriously unmissable. And for classical musical lovers, a ukulele is involved.
