What I liked
The script ( so incredibly smart, clever and unique) and the performance by Penny Peyser as Lady Penelope are inspired. The direction is impeccable. “Sonnets from Suburbia” and the character of Lady Penelope delights the heart and soul with it’s wonderful iambic pentameter while transitioning perfectly to reveal the deeper aspects of Lady Penelope and her life.
What I didn't like
I cannot think of a thing that could be improved upon.
My overall impression
The play, “Sonnets from Suburbia” went way beyond all my expectations in the most entertaining, witty and touching way! The “Sonnets from Suburbia” play and stage production, written and performed brilliantly by Penny Peyser, is an awesome roller coaster ride that takes you on a magical and enlightening journey of self discovery. There’s even singing and a Ukeles involved. The genius of “Sonnets from Suburbia” will blow you away, so do yourself a favor and book your reservation ASAP.
