What I liked

What an interesting/fascinating concept to personify each different aspect of one’s astrological chart, clearly identifying what makes it unique, and allowing it a chance to play (sing) and interact with the other aspects in one’s chart! It was a unique way to do a personality investigation (and explanation) as to what makes a person who, how, and WHY they are the way they are. My favorite number was sung by the infamous Scorpio Ascendant (there is money in Emma’s lower range)! Very powerful and soulful!

Did anyone else notice her dress?? How adorable and all-encompassing was that? LOVED IT!!

What I didn't like

I love me some astrology, but I do feel as though opportunities were missed to really “educate” the audience about what some of the specific influences concerning the planets are in a person’s chart. It’s one thing to sing about the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant, et. al. (this is great for auditory learners like me), but if you’ve got a projection screen, I’d encourage a future production to USE THAT BABY and VISUALLY explain/educate what differentiates the aforementioned big three and then share what is significant about a person’s Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, etc. A bit of “show” with all that tell will go a long, long way!

My overall impression

Love original songs? Love astrology? Love a serio-comedic look at how the stars make us who we are? Then, this show has got you covered and then some! I came to this show because I love all of the above, but not knowing exactly what to expect, and I left with a large smile on my face! Performer Emma Irene Olson certainly came to entertain and allows all of the aspects of her chart to shine through! And the gal can SING and has quite the vocal range to prove it!
