The emotional range that Eaverley covers within a mere 50 minutes is truly impressive, reminiscent of icons such as Shirley MacLaine in films like The Apartment and Sweet Charity. The digital projections really helped take me into her character’s mind, showcasing the story’s promise as both a TV show and a movie.
What I didn't like
The ending felt a bit abrupt and didn’t quite land the emotional punch I’d hoped it would.
My overall impression
An earnest and cinematic character study that beautifully explores the trauma caused by sexual assault, and that fosters wonderful waves of empathy.
