What I liked

Cherry is fantastically produced with incredible lighting and sound design and fun effects and audience interaction that keeps everyone engaged. Kudos to Sarah for keeping everyone laughing out loud from beginning to end.

What I didn't like

There were moments when I wasn’t sure if the audience was meant to engage or if Sarah’s requests were just for effect, but the uncertainty adds to the comedy so this isn’t necessarily something to change.

My overall impression

Sarah is an enormous talent presenting a story of self-discovery with so much honesty, vulnerability, and heart. Katy Perry’s throughline in Sarah’s life is relatable for any one who has ever been a fan of anyone or anything, but particularly poignant for people who have experienced life as a teenage girl.
