What I liked

I really liked the way the story was a mess but at no point did Nick play the victim or give a woe is me vibe. Not enough people take accountability for their actions but in reflection, Nick takes almost too much accountability for his actions. He was just a child when all this shit went down. That’s fucking insane.

I liked all the call backs and the layering to the story and how much he fucking accomplishes in one freaking hour… it’s insane really.

I love the way Nick honors his Italian heritage by acting with his hands and lives up to the good name of New York artists. THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS. Thank for giving your story the attention it deserves. My friend flew in from Denver and was not disappointed :)

What I didn't like

Understand that as I write this review I’d still rate it 10/10 and 5/5 stars; however, please note the following. This was my second time seeing the show, nearly all my favorite lines didn’t make the cut Ha Ha. 💀💀💀

I missed:
The opening monologue about a one man show
“It’s like climbing a mountain and you get to the top and they say go back down and get someone else and I’m like can’t I just have a donut and some coffee.”
The other homosexual jokes about Jeff/your AA sponsor if that’s his name I forgot.
“I was 7 and I was there” and the whole bit about having to scrub and change your pants
The repeated call back to “…Right.”
When Adrian said what I hated most was that you lied “and I was like really? That’s what you hated” also in that scene when he was like what am I gonna do with you Pupo and you said I don’t think you should be asking me that.

My overall impression

OUTSTANDING. Heartwrenching. One of a kind. Revisiting this was like seeing a really well done live action version of a cartoon I loved.
