The play is sprinkled with off-beat popular culture references that catch the audience by surprise.
Roni isn’t afraid to take risks and her unbridled honesty gives those watching a sneak peak into the curtain behind the crazy.
There’s the lingering idea that no matter how you gain validation (even if it’s through, unfortunately men), there’s no correct way to go about life.
Be prepared to feel related to in a way you never thought you could, and expect the unexpected.
What I didn't like
I had a panic attack during this show, but art should disturb the uncomfortable!
My overall impression
You go into it thinking Roni (the character), is seeking male validation, but you learn through a deeply hilarious and emotional journey that what she actually wants is validation as a whole.
