Great performances from both actors. Highly enjoyable it has humour, pathos and touches on darkness making a nuanced and stimulating perfomance that just zipped along. Great if you want to see good acting, good writing and directing and ultimately it's very easy to watch if you're not a theater regular.... full review

I really enjoyed this play. The brilliance of Holmes and the camaraderie of Watson are a joy to behold. The writing is sharp and amusing. Mawson and Vernazza are perfectly cast as the duo, and I could have happily stayed to watch more tales unfold for Holmes and Watson. The staging is simple but effective, and allows the audience imagination to work away to it's own limits, and the music is beautiful and gin house atmospheric. Highly recommended.... full review

This on the surface, could have been a very interesting show. However I found it dreary and very amateur. Both cast members over-acted to the point of it being a joke. There was no chemistry whatsoever between the characters, and as a result the hour painfully dragged. Neither performer gave over any sense of the emotion in any of the scenes - it was like watching two robots with posh accents and the occasional 'amateur dramatic' facial twitch, reading the phone directory. Anyone can stand on a stage and tell the audience in words that Holmes and Watson have a unique bond, but unless you make our emotions believe... full review
