What I liked

I liked the characters of the acting troupe. The Shakespeare characters we’re all familiar with, but when you see the personality of the actors mingled into them as they try to play their part in Midsummer, well then, those layers add more to the performance. If you keep an eye out, you’ll catch glimpses of all the small details, which were great.

What I didn't like

I honestly have no constructive criticism to say. I truly enjoyed the play, and I’m not an avid Shakespeare fan. It made me appreciate the bard more so.

My overall impression

The trials and tribulations of a struggling, indie theatre troupe. Sounds like nothing should go wrong. Am I right. This is a wonderful glimpse into the comedic but very real view of each archetype of actor personalities, all while trying to put together some semblance of a classic show from what they have available to them. Oh, and did I mention there’s a play within a play within a play too. Oh, Billy Shakes, twas a Mad genius he was. Bravo.
