I loved the ease with which she moved between characters, accents, and subjects. She is a polished performer and her performance was riveting and intense.
What I didn't like
I wouldn’t change any of the material – she goes into some difficult subject matter and it’s worth going there, but sometimes it’s really hard to sit with what the show stirs up. I wouldn’t take any of it out but maybe if there were a few more moments to breathe it would be easier to take it all in 🙏 I’ll be processing it all for some time (but that’s not a bad thing!)
My overall impression
In Kamakshi’s second one-woman show, she digs deep into her past and present pain to let us know that no matter how f*cking hard things get, there is always hope!
