Kamakshi’s character work is impeccable. So entertaining and clever! Physicality, dialects, voices, all fun to watch. The way she also edutains so that we understand the roots of trauma and specific ways to overcome it. She cleverly weaves helpful strategies in between the story, told also through songs and great imagery.
What I didn't like
Lots to digest. Perhaps a few moments of pause to allow things to integrate a bit. And perhaps tightening the script a little to compensate those pauses. Otherwise, this is an important piece for anyone who has undergone trauma of any kind.
My overall impression
Wow! This is an engaging, tragic, yet delightful show. Kamakshi is a master storyteller, deftly taking us along an emotional ride through a challenging emotional landscape. As the title clearly states, being resilient is where it’s at!
