What I liked

The. Goddamn. Long. Horse.
My god, the costumes were so fantastic. I love it when musicals prioritize story telling and characters over precision with the singing and dancing. I’m normally not a huge musical person because often the craft starts to feel more like a sport than an art, due to people focusing on how long they can hold a note, or how many kicks they can do in a row, rather than bearing their HEARTS and SOULS.

This show also utilized the screen-door-ass Broadwater Projection screen in the best friggin’ way.

What I didn't like

Sometimes lines were lost but I think that has more to do with the acoustics of the space, and the laughter from audience

My overall impression

This show was stupid as fuck and I loved every second of it.
Also, though, like, heart-breaking at times? For a scene there, Chris channeled Leo from What’s Eating Gilbert Grape— authentic tears!
