Writer/Performer team Zoe Tyson and Louie Rinaldi have become two of my new favorite "creators to watch" in this community. Yesterday I had a blast watching their show: Fuck Julie. I had no idea what to expect and I, like others, assumed it was a new comedic take on Strindberg's MISS Julie. Happily I was met with an hour of cringe-worthy comedy that would've been right at home in the Search Party (HBO) writer's room. I'll be honest that I saw this with a pretty light crowd. They weren't super vocal, which is fine, but it felt a bit like they weren't fully in on the tone. One fellow audience member and I had a knee-slapping good time. Heck, he was even laughing when there was nothing happening at all. I'd like to believe he was remembering ... full review

In F#@% Julie, Louie Rinaldi and Zoe Tyson present a punchy, dynamic script that indulges the more insidious and fantastical reaches of Hollywood transgressions, but is rooted in the lived experience of both protagonists. Well-organized and finely paced, even its more ironic or impossible subjects inspire genuine pathos. The jokes are clever and well-placed, and both Tyson and Rinaldi deliver formidable performances as two on-the-cusp children’s book authors. Offstage performances by Dani Colucci and Ryan Semmelmayer are a highlight. A great example of LA’s reinvigorated indie theatre scene.... full review

absolutely hilarious from beginning to end. an exciting creative adventure with phenomenal acting - the pair on stage's chemistry brought laughter to everyone in the audience repeatedly. it was clear that they were having as much fun as we were, which was a lot! the story was compelling and entertaining with clear direction in the writing. i really enjoyed my time and hope to see more of this type of art in the future. the play clearly well directed as well, they took up the entire stage as a duo which was powerful for me. cheers and congrats!... full review
