The staging was realistic and not overdone, used minimal props and minimal music which enhanced the narrative rather than distracted from it. Great direction and use of the space. Felt intimate.
What I didn't like
I felt the the work was compelling as is and needs no improvement.
My overall impression
American Pain was absolute pleasure; a powerfully engaging show of humorous and heart-punching depth by writer Elise Forier and a bravura performance by Stephanie Burden! Highly recommended!
