Following the format of Lefty, the play is told through vignettes each capturing a social/economic/political/moral choice we are facing today as a society. Tightly written and beautifully staged. This was an hour that asks the audience to think and not immediately assume the opinions or beliefs of anyone based on gender, sexual orientation, political party, status, or ethnicity. ... full review

Artfully written, consciously directed, and deftly performed - this showing was truly a politically charged, formidable theatrical showing! Surviving in our world today is no easy task as the piece shows us in vignette after vignette. All who are affiliated with "(It's Been 76 Years and We're) Still Waiting for Lefty" should feel extremely proud of this undertaking! I certainly know I was proud to be in the audience.... full review

The play makes use of vignettes just as the original did but the framing device that holds them together is not a union strike, but a poem that is heard via recording by a woman who asks us to like and subscribe her feed on social media. This may not be as successful for we don’t get to see people interact with each other we only hear that we are losing ourselves to technology and though that does connect to the first vignette where we watch a man and wife argue over the demands of his delivery job with (we presume) Amazon (only because she mentions the failed strike attempt) as he tells her that it’s only a matter of time before robots take all the shipping and delivery jobs, it doesn’t act as the strongest connective tissue between scenes... full review

This beautifully captured the tragedy of our humanity as a country and as a world at large. I loved the different scenes and the way flowed together. This piece is a reflective time capsule that reminds us where we are as society right now in 2020 and 2021, for better or for worse. ... full review

Brilliant. I was absolutely blown away by this show which, unfortunately, is so real, especially considering what is all around us. Taking from the themes of "Waiting For Lefty" and weaving them into our current cultural landscape, this piece had me laughing, crying, wanting to scream, wanting to crawl into a ball...the writing is just plain brilliant, as was the direction and commitment to the theme and tone by all of the actors. The lighting, sound, use of live feed, space, shadows...it was all wonderful. The movement pieces were so engaging.... full review

A visceral experience in blending poignant, relevant storytelling with the exact form of delivery being commented on (as a virtual audience member). A unique and worthwhile performance that encapsulates the many questions of the day without burdening themselves with the lofty goal of answering them.... full review

This show is EXCELLENT! Phenomenal writing and movement. Love that it’s told through smaller, more intimate stories that all come together. It’s a poignant take on our current events and it’s done in a way that is elevated and intelligent. Highly recommend!!! If you only have time for a few shows this year, make this one of them. I am thrilled that my first experience back in the theater post pandemic was truly a masterpiece. ... full review

The opening moments of “It’s been 76 Years” grabbed me right away, with the direction by Richard Piatt and choreography by Soda Persi. And the scenes, so incredibly relevant, masterfully penned by Gregory Crafts, kept me totally tuned in to what was happening before me. An important piece that should be seen by everyone. And props to Soda Persi for not only her choreography but for the depth of her acting skills that brought me to tears. The tie-in from past to present is genius.... full review
