The play is about outsiders, people living and struggling on the margins of society. An alcoholic and sexually-addicted Mexican-American priest who must cope with things like school shootings and his own demons ; a bleeding-heart gay Colombian terrorist who idolizes Che Guevara and once tried to defect to East Berlin; an institutionalized victim of split personality disorder who has to make sense of his condition and environment—all these characters are trying to find their own versions of truth, peace, and enlightenment.

This creation is influenced by the shocking cinema of Alejandro Jodorowsky, the philosophy of Nietzsche, and the surreal fictions of Juan Rulfo as well as the absurdity and isolation to be found in Beckett. Esoteric, edgy and exotic, it is vulnerable, cerebral, and refined. Anything except forgettable.

PITY ANGER SHAME & LOVE represents a way of overcoming boundaries: the border between life and art, between spirit and matter, possibility and reality.
