What I liked

The screenplay and songs were really good. It was genuinely funny and genuinely moving at parts.

The main actors were really good at both acting and singing. This is including the fantasy world actors like the wizard and the mayor. It was

What I didn't like

There were many times, particularly in the first act where the music drowned out the singing. I was on the right side of the theater, and a lot of the action was on the left side, so that could have been part of it.

I felt that the background actors were just kinda there a lot of the time. Not as much energy. Also, the fight scenes and dance scenes could have been better. I thought that the actress who played the shop owner was a bit weak on singing, but her acting of the role was phenomenal. I thought the actress playing the younger sister didn’t seem as believable as the rest, particularly in the first act, but got better in the second act.

My overall impression

Creative idea, well written, and well executed.
