What I liked
I enjoyed the musical touches that were sprinkled throughout and gave emotional weight to the scene. If you know your soundtracks, then these easter eggs are a treat.
What I didn't like
We saw Martin as a narrator once, however, he never appeared in a scene. I knew who he was, but unfortunately, some friends I was with had a tough time figuring out who he was until after the play.
My overall impression
George had such a great cast that worked so cohesively to bring a passion project to life. If you have some prior knowledge about the characters and their work–or are a fan, like myself–this play is nostalgic and allows you to imagine what may have happened behind the scenes. On the other hand, if you have no idea who these characters are, you still get to witness an endearing story about the relatable struggle to pursue your dreams no matter the odds.
