The actors were all very strong, knowing the material inside and out and never dropping out of the extreme characters they were playing.
The practical effects used to create a Star Trek universe onstage were inspired, hilarious, and kept me interested in what was going to happen.
The combat was top-notch, even in sillier moments.
What I didn't like
I’m not a huge Star Trek fan myself, so I’m sure there were references that went past me. Perhaps a little long, but not by much.
My overall impression
Klingon Tamburlaine commits beyond 100% to its source material and treats the piece more seriously instead of just making it a one-note joke. The bits of humor throughout are well-timed (the dead body spraying mist might be the funniest bit I’ve seen so far this year at Fringe), and the actors all disappear into their various Klingon and non-Klingon roles.
