Fun musical with nice theatrical touches in places, some unfortunate unnecessary crass humour in others. It would benefit from tightening up and trimming 30 minutes off of it. ... full review

This show was a delightful romp. It wasn’t until walking out of the theatre that I realized my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. The writer did a great job exploring what could have been a one-note topic. Instead, the story actually builds and the mystery unfolds, and as an audience member, you can’t help but to be sucked in. A huge reason for this is because of the amazing performances of the cast. They say that a production is only as good as its weakest cast member. Well, Hell’s Kitty is in luck, because there are no weak members. From the lead to the supporting cast all the way down to the chorus, the actors are so enjoyable to watch and so full of energy that their joy is contagious. It was an honor to participate as an audience member.... full review

The show was very campy and dark, and will probably be enjoyed by a much younger demographic. It also seemed like the cast was not quite up to the challenge, as their were serious vocal issues. The one shinning star was the over-the-top performance of Maeve Thompson Osgood as Lisa Graves. Although not a total bomb, it could use some additional rehearsal time and maybe some recasting before going forward. i truly see the potential in the show, but felt it was not nearly as strong as NMI‘s other entry, The Bully Problem.... full review

The show is too long by at least a half-hour, with zero character development, and a lot of misogynistic humor. Also, the direction was incredibly weak, with all of the moments of the cat becoming demonic reading as awkward and anticlimactic.... full review

HELL’s KITTY - the musical! note: HELL'S KITTY is MY BEST FRINGE yet ( and... yes, I've Fringed for many years ) Going to any Fringe theatrical production is an act of faith, is a gamble - the Russian roulette (if u will) of theatrical experiences. You could have a dud - u could have a masterpiece - the only guarantee is that u are supporting the theatrical arts community - and in the Los Angeles community of dreamers - the talented and less so are in abundance - and on full display these days of dedicated theatre going events. Full disclosure: I am well acquainted with the project - have been an enthusiast of its creators - writer/producer Nicholas Tana & producing partner Denise Acosta - for quite some time - and am o... full review

This play is written by someone who obviously hates queer people and women. Literally every queer or female character in this is portrayed a demon, witch, killer, and obsessed with the straight white male lead. And if they don't hate those groups? They are incredibly oblivious and part of the problem. ... full review
