Review from Haunting.net Outer space has always been a somewhat difficult concept for me. Even the word itself—space—implies a vast, incomprehensible emptiness. This year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival brings us The Pod, the brainchild of creators Nick Rheinwald-Jones (SpyBrunch) and Katelyn Schiller (Lucid DramaticsLucid Dramatics,) and a euphoric love letter to that unknowable plane. All the awards. Just give it all the awards. And I don't just mean Fringe. Valley Theatre Awards, Tony, Oscar, just give it awards. A room that looks like my apartment legit became outer space, Katelyn Schiller is... literally an otherworldly talent. Nick Rhinewald-Jones has done his best piece so far. This short immersive piece has a sci-fi tilt but manages to be one of the most thoughtful, human, thought-provoking pieces around. Well worth attending, completely enjoyable. Strong performances all around.... full review
