Many puzzles make the assumption that the solver is already familiar with this popular puzzle and its solution. It is frequently viewed as an instance of anti-humor since the odd setup of the joke encourages the audience to anticipate a conventional geometry dash punchline, but they are instead presented with a straightforward statement of reality.... full review

A very entertaining and thought-provoking play. I was challenged to pay attention and really think about each character and their purpose. Each had a specificity to the story line that I found to be really interesting to figure out. The characters one-by-one were unique and memorable. As they connected and disconnected from another throughout the play, it made for an interestingly developing plot. I enjoyed watching the characters try to understand their existences while I myself was trying to understand where the story line would end up. A very clever premise made for a really different and imaginative experience. ... full review

Have you ever pondered this philosophical question that is the title of this play? By the end of the play, you may or may not be satisfied by the inevitable answer. Along the road, you will be presented with words played by individual characters that try to find meaning to their existence and purpose. There are the multiple "The's" that compete for importance, Cross, the verb which without, there would be no question. There are all the other words that try to find a context in their relationship with the other words and their ultimate significance. But, it's the Chicken and the Road whose intersection make this play the entertaining story of meaning and purpose that will leave the audience with the simple answer that has plagued man sin... full review

"How can a play about words in a joke make me feel things?" I asked, not knowing the journey I was about to embark on. This is a deceptively deep, emotional, and funny show about finding meaning, accepting yourself and others, and being ok with being yourself despite how others might see you. If you ever wanted to think about the horror of existence through the lens of comedy, this is the show to see. ... full review

An existential trip through words, Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road is an excellent example of what a Fringe show can be. Silly, absurd, intriguing, and ultimately surprisingly emotional, the actors are all committed to the strange world they inhabit as they trust the deftly written script made up of those very words.... full review
