What I liked

The banter between Matt Richey and Jim Niedzialkowski is wonderful. The way the story is told is innovative and the message sneaks up on you in the best of ways. In the wrong hands it could come across pretentious, trying too hard, or ambivalent of the audience. It never felt that way, and in the best way possible, the story came across very heartfelt and honest. Also, the SONG! When you see it, you’ll know which one I mean :)

What I didn't like

More wigs! :)

My overall impression

Extremely funny and effective take on the much maligned “one-person-show” concept. Matt Richey crushes it from every angle, and Jim Niedzialkowski is perfect as the Stage manager in the middle of a nightmare Tech. It is a hilarious and heart-felt piece, that exposes the egomaniacal nature and naiveté of many LA Actor-types, while also fortifying the need for, and perhaps the worth of, such ambitious/pretentious pieces. Somehow Matt Richey’s script is simultaneously in on the joke while creating an endearing story. A true achievement!
