What I liked

Wonderful cast, great unified costume design. Felt particularly loved when everyone spoke in their native tongue: what a great touch. While everyone was great, in particular I couldn’t take my eyes off the one female actor. A nice dose of humor to break up the intensity. Abstract, but felt grounded with a sense of purpose. I loved it.

What I didn't like

I can see this being a bitter pill for certain theatre goers, but that’s a matter of taste. This is very much an Artaudian throwback to abstract uncomfortable experimental theatre, but is unified enough to grasp a theme and message… so if you really think this is weird, you probably aren’t big into indie theatre anyhow!

My overall impression

Exciting, daring work from a group of young auteurs. It’s great to see people taking risks and doing theatrey theatre instead of settling for the safe known quantity. Definitely “weird” if you’re looking for old fashioned realism, etc, but I personally loved this abstract exploration of authority and resistance.
