What I liked

This is basically a whole album come to life. I think there’s 7 songs in 30 minutes. It isn’t just people singing what’s happening with a piano as the backing track either. These are real musical style numbers that vary depending on what the story calls for. This is a comedy but I found myself surprisingly touched by the end with where the story went. I hope this show finds a life outside Fringe to grow an audience.

What I didn't like

I wish the theater space was larger for this show. (It’s at the Broadwater second stage.) At times it felt cramped when there were several actors on the stage, I’d love to see this show in a larger space where some of the choreography could be expanded.

My overall impression

An incredibly charming, funny, and touching musical. Joy Regullano is the lead character who sings, dances and even manages to play the violin on stage while she’s at it. The whole cast gets involved in every song, we get slower ballads, funny show stoppers and even a rap section. Music is done by the terrific duo “Sam and Tony Show” (Tony Gonzalez & Sam Johnides) who themselves are Fringe vets doing my favorite musical a few years ago “Annabella”. Joy is the heart of the show however and she brings her funny/quirky personality out for everyone to see. This show is a very quick 30 minutes, and you won’t regret spending them with this entire cast. Highly recommended.
