Each song was so different – I especially loved the flashlight rap for Lady MacBeth and the sweet surprise of Rosalind’s song – all delivered with charisma and commitment. The lighting was wonderful, too – a rare thing at a Fringe show. Laura and her designer use the colors to deepen the emotions of each moment.
What I didn't like
I wish we were seated closer to the stage – there’s a bit of a moat between the audience and the piano. But the room is small enough that we didn’t miss anything!
My overall impression
Amazing, creative interpretations of Shakespeare’s most intriguing women! Laura’s voice and incredible piano playing paint these characters for us in a way that is both real and extremely dramatic – just as they’re supposed to be!
