My overall impression
Full disclosure, I work for Theatre Unleashed, but I couldn’t NOT leave a review of this show!! How Jacob Smith was able to capture the full breadth of an honest and true relationship (the ups, the downs, the twists, the turns, the LIFE of it) is truly incredible. In an hour, thanks to the direction of Sean Fitzgerald, we became part of this couple’s life. We journeyed with them, watched them grow and perhaps fell in love with them a bit ourselves. The two leads, Julia Plostnieks and Michael Lutheran were incredible, as were the two swing actors (Greydon Schlichter and Megan Duquette) who tackled multiple roles. One of the best things about this play was seeing all the people in the audience at one point or another lean over to their significant other and whisper, “That’s so us” as they reached down to hold hands. Beautiful work!
