What I liked

Boggs and Erickson have penned a bitingly funny and emotional show about dating and heartbreak. This isn’t your stereotypical “men suck and I hate dating” show. It explores the pain, passion, and hilarity of courtship and how modern technology has impacted it.

Both actresses are hilarious and balance each other perfectly. It’s wonderful to see a comedic piece where the actors aren’t trying to “outfunny” each other, but actually work together to bring the laughs. Boggs in particular is hysterical yet breaks your heart at the end with her vulnerability. This is a show worth seeing.

What I didn't like

The venue (Studio C) was unbelievably strict when it comes to late-seating. Doors opened late and I was granted a ticket but was told I had to use the restroom next door as the theater didn’t allow it. When I got back (2 minutes later) the door was locked shut and there were seven other patrons who couldn’t get in. We were eventually allowed in but missed the first 10 minutes of the show.

I don’t know if this was a one-off event but it was really outrageous and uncalled for. You can’t give multiple paying guests a ticket and then lock them out for being late when you yourself opened the doors late. Actions like this will only drive audience members away from Fringe.

My overall impression

Hilarious, charming, and heartbreaking. This is a show that everyone can relate to.
