The writing, acting, directing, and staging were phenomenal.
What I didn't like
It could be a smidgen shorter. The show needs to be extended for the Fringe, and eventually filmed professionally—like Spaulding Gray’s SWIMMING TO CAMBODIA and John Leguizamo’s GHETTOCLOWN.
My overall impression
Kelly Mullis received a well-deserved extended standing ovation for this passion project she wrote and performed. This is what you call a performance! This delightful piece fires on all emotional cylinders. Kelly Mullis’ MARILYNMONROE: THELASTINTERVIEW is on par with Spaulding Gray’s SWIMMING TO CAMBODIA and John Leguizamo’s GHETTOCLOWN. I don’t want to say more, because Fringe audiences need to experience it—not read about it.
