This one person show kept me interested the whole time. Actress Kathryn Taylor-Smith brought to life back stories of those experiencing homelessness, a subject that is greatly affecting our society. Hopefully after seeing this show one has more empathy towards those living on our streets, instead of annoyance at how your neighborhoods are being affected. The humanity behind the masses is spotlighted. I think we could all use a more empathetic view. The timing is spot on for this show and it's well worth seeing. ... full review

I am a theater snob, I can only enjoy well written and beautifully performed pieces on stage, and this show did not disappoint! I felt like I was back in New York watching greats like Anna Deavere Smith, Phylicia Rashad, or S. Epatha Merkerson. This was well developed, rehearsed, and executed with great courage, wisdom, and pride. The multifaceted-characters were real and honest. And the actress was both vulnerable and strong when needed. I left feeling like I robbed them of a higher ticket price!... full review

What a stunning array of characters Kathryn Smith portrays in her current solo Fringe Festival show at The Lounge Theater. A must see in my opinion. The subject of homelessness in LA and countless other US cities is such a hot button issue at present. Kathryn offers important social comment while encountering several characters who inhabit her life on the streets. Kathryn is realistic, poignant, funny, and revelatory in her observations. Two more perfs!!! Catch it if you can, you'll love it!!!... full review

As a successful two time solo artist myself I am quite critical of solo shows in Los Angeles but Kathryn is an exception. Inspired by Anna Deveare Smith she brings to light real stories based on her interviews and makes us view the homeless through a new lens. She manages to teach us and entertain us with an array of memorable and unforgettable characters. As playwright she has done the homework most don't bother to do and as an actor her performance is simply magnificent. Kudos to Kathryn! Welcome to the Solo World! And thank you for giving us serious food for thought that we will still be digesting well after the fact!... full review

Bravo! Kathryn Taylor Smith does an outstanding job of bringing awareness of homelessness in LA through a myriad of characters woven together beautifully! She morphes seamlessly from one character to the next evoking laughter, sighs and “Amens” throughout the show. Her performance really causes you to look within and outwards as you slowly begin to realize that our comparisons far outway our differences. I look forward to seeing even more developments and discussions that arise from works like this. We are all human and one decision away from our destiny. Please do check this show out if you get a chance. It’s food for the soul!... full review

If I had the time to see one show again, this would undoubtedly be it. Kathryn puts on a spectacular poetic performance that is funny, raw, and moving. Her energy is astounding and engaging throughout the entirety of the show, portraying each character's experience as if she were reliving her own past lives. ... full review
