INTERNATIONALPERFORMANCEARTIST ‘YOZMIT’ RELEASES 3-PART “MIGRATION
OF THE MONARCHS” IN LOSANGELESTHROUGHOUTJUNE
“DoYou: Migration of the Monarchs” is a three-part performance art project incorporating
avant-garde theatre, interactive performance installation, and durational live ambient art created
and performed by international performing artist Yozmit. Parts 1 and 2 are presented by a grant
from the City of West Hollywood’s One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival. Part 3 was
selected as winner of the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Scholarship Award.
“Do You: Migration of the Monarchs” is a Victorian Kabuki Burlesque spectacle of sexually
charged transcendence, to reunite the sacred feminine and the sacred masculine. Eastern
techniques like Butoh, Kabuki, and ‘Pansori’ (traditional Korean singing) merge with Western
