What I liked

The timing and space work this show demands of its actors due to ALL sound / projection is automated (as in not from a person in the tech booth) is OMGWTF. They are both gifted actors with ACE physicality skills who go from broad-strokes slapstick to intimate reality without blinking in the vignettes that comprise this show.

I very much appreciate how the two of them built Audience Education into the first piece to Show Not Tell us what to expect going forward.

This is a most excellent show that is hard to describe and more people should see when they have a chance.

What I didn't like

We did have to sit there for quite a while looking at screen public domain clips of images/sounds to cycle through waiting for where they had to be in order for the show to start. In other words, looking at random automated sound and projections for a long time before the actors stepped onto stage and launched the show. Maybe that can be cut down somehow during tech? It’s the sort of show where slice and tweak of the intro files can be done to fit the needs of the venue. Possibly.

My overall impression

I have never in all my years of being audience in live theater seen something quite like this show, as far as the automated technical demands Hemmings & Jenay have to be Absolutely On Point With to pull it off. And they are! And it is HYSTERICAL. Note to future audiences: when the projection asks if you, the audience, would like one more / an encore? SAY YES WITH YOUR APPLAUSE to bring them back out on stage for the encore piece. Trust Me On This.
