Parking (not!) almost won, but I prevailed! Hugest apologies for being late. But the play was a true thought provoker. Shukran for doing this!
I went in thinking it was a generic overlook at Arab women... (mostly Muslim women), but the last parts about Beirut hit especially hard. Knowing so many Beirutis back in the 60's and loving them, what an eye opener.... always thought of them as cosmopolitan and liberated, and how refreshing for that part of the world. No doubt the French influence after WWI. Beiruti ladies seemed miles apart from all the other Mid East countries... and then the bloody pointless wars started in '75. Always wanted to go to Beirut more than anywhere else... never made it.

A really nice play , with a unique identity to it. The play is about a Lebanese woman, but also about all women , who are refusing to accept the norms all over the world
As a Lebanese myself , who also lived couple wars, the play touched me and I found myself crying towards the end
but I try to be objective here.
The director Nagham is really talented and did a great job with her vision , she brought together diverse talented actresses and actors from different backgrounds,
would recommend people to see it ...

A very interesting story for women, by women which I love. And it shed some light on what it really means to be an Arab woman, clearing up all the stereotypes and misconceptions. My favorite line of the show was something along the lines of- if you didn't know there are liberated arab women then that's your problem, not ours. I loved that!! Very good show!!...

I loved it! There's a tremendous spirit running thru this show, celebrating women, and womanhood..And specifically, what that means, in the mideast..As a man, i found it revelatory and humbling on many levels.. as I may often think I understand a woman's plight.. but then I get educated again... I found much of this show illuminating..taking me past stereo typical broad strokes of a middle eastern woman's experience and into the nuances and details, and evolution of it. It inspired me to want to learn even more.
The commitment, energy and charm of the cast, the constant flow of the group of women, and a couple of fine gents, made this intimate theatre feel far more spacious! ...poetic, joyful, inspiring, and at times very funny.. this show,...
