An interesting piece of performance art that plays off of intimacy very well. I loved the one-on-one time here, appreciated the dark tone and themes, and the writing and performing is great. Ten minutes is so fleeting! But it was definitely an engaging ten minutes....

I am still processing the experience that I had during A(Partment 8) even though I saw it on June 12th. Talk about a mind f**k. This show IS Fringe. It is fascinating, unsettling, visceral, thought-provoking, brilliant. You will not experience anything like this anywhere else. I honestly don't know what else to say expect that Annie Lesser is an artistic genius and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next. ...

I'm going to start right out by saying that if you crave theatrical experience, boundary-pushing Fringe experience, go to A(partment 8)! Keight Leighn gave new meaning to presence and fearlessness as an actor. I experienced the piece last night and am still coming to realizations this evening.
Annie has 25 more pieces in this series... I cannot wait to see where else she will take us!

alternative
I'm going to try and give a more normal review here. But fair warning--this experience lends itself to repeated thinking and alternative ideas.
If you have ever been involved in truly immersive theater or been to an escape room, you have SOME idea of what you might experience here. SOME idea. Now envision an immersive theater or an escape room where you are the only audience member, the only person in the room.
Can you envision this in your head?
Now remove the entire idea of it being an "escape room". Or of it being "immersive theater". It's simply a room. Or rather, an apartment. The experience is called Apartment 8, after all. One should imagine it might be about an Apartment 8 without that being much of a spoiler.
This is an...

I mean....give me a break. This was the best part of fringe and it sucks. It sucks so much for one reason only. Only 95 get to see something so amazing, so intense, so personal and so spellbinding. Love this y'all. ...
