HOUSE OF RABBITS - CHARIVARI IN VOYEURVILLE was the first show that I saw at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2015 and it set the bar well above what is expected at the festival. Everything about this production is beautifully executed. From the costuming to the lighting design to the ensemble work, everything weaves together effortlessly. The expertise that has gone into this production rivals most Off-Broadway productions. Kudos to Brandon Baruch and the entire cast and crew!! ... full review

A standout of the fest! A powerfully sexy and unique extravaganza. This twisted morality tale is one part Cirque de Soleil, the other the versed poetry of Oscar Wilde. Created by the band House of Rabbits, the show holds an engaging concept and execution from beginning to end. With haunting melodies, infused with aerial arts and terrific acting, the show directed by Brandon Baruch and Kyle Johnston is hypnotic, sexy, mysterious and heart-wrenching. It's going places. Say you saw it at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. ... full review

Charivari in Voyeurville demonstrates that the oldest tools in theater: dance, music, and masques, done well, still excite the senses and create visceral reactions. It also demonstrates that given the slightest push of insight, it has the potential to be transformative. When that insight is missing or the point of view trying to have it both ways, the miss is more palpable. Our society pushes folks towards marriage (and as a Gay man, was I surprised to find that at the head of our agenda) and laughs at folks in all stages of the process (engagement, marriage, divorce and widowhood) that stray. And folks that are interested in hedonism can be lonely during and after their beauty years. All of what we do wrecks human beings in tragic way... full review

"Charivari in Voyeurville" hits the rare Fringe trifecta: It's ambitious, it fulfills its ambitions, and it's entertaining as hell.... full review

From start to finish, I was completely enthralled with this performance. The movement, the emotion, the masterful storytelling. House of Rabbits is the heartbeat, driving the show forward. The wonderful cast of characters drawing you into this forbidden and exciting world. This is a tale of the beautiful and the grotesque. Of the accepted and the unknown. And it will stay with you long after. ... full review

Overtly and strangely sexy, with an intriguing story capped by amazing music from House of Rabbits that brought everything together. Great production, fantastic performances, and a tempo that keeps you engaged throughout. Loved it!... full review

Art is beautiful, and frequently, good art is exhausting. After I left Charivari in Voyeurville, I was certainly exhausted, but in the exhilerated and tremendously satisfied way that only art and a few other worthwhile activites can promise. The premise of the show by itself is a little dizzying: I've described it as what would happen if The Decemberists had really, really rough sex with System of a Down and the child produced from this union studied under Cirque Du Soliel, which I think gets across the aesthetic, if nothing else. It's a carnival, a cabaret, a vaudevillian exploration of some pretty profound ideas about sex, society, and the way the world works at it's best and it's worst. Yes, there's more going on here than it appears wh... full review

6/25 Worth SRO! A blender full of various theatrical styles that sounds horrible together but tastes delicious! - A live original Rock & Roll music score? check - Operatic/punk rock vocals by a gifted and versatile singer that serves as Greek chorus? check - Jaw droppingly sexy acrobatic/dancers in masks? check Amazing! My mouth was agape in awe on so many levels - a few minor tweaks and this show (already deserving of an extended run) should move to a bigger house for an open run in Vegas or Off Broadway! My problem with the show is the relentless amazing work. I know, sounds crazy, but the show would benefit with a few more quiet moments to make us appreciate the next big number - "too much good stuff" as it were. The "book"... full review
